I have an old portable computer. It has the next features: Pentium I 200 MHz, 32 MB RAM, 2,1 GHz hard disk.I've recently installed damn small linux 2.3. I want to install the gcc compiler, but I don't have internet connection in this computer, so I can't connect to APT to download files. I've tried to install some gcc versions, but it is needed another installed gcc to compile the newer. Can I get any gcc version which doesn't need any another gcc to be installed? Anybody can help me? Thanks all. I'm spanish, so my english is horrible. Sorry! Posted by NotTheMama on April 18 2006,13:51
There is a gcc1.dsl entry in the repository. < system reposistory >Download it and use a CD/USB stick to get it on your machine. This should work... HTH., Remco Posted by juamagb1 on April 18 2006,16:31
