FORTH is a neet little language that was in competition with C many moons ago.  It is now the language of the plug-n-play BIOS.

Back in 1979 we used to stuff a compiler, interpreter, assembler and editor in about 8k.

For the last 6 years I've been wishing for a nice little FORTH that could run inside a window and talk to the network.  With that I could write network apps faster than in anything else.

Check out FORTH.ORG

P.S. - No, I'm NOT looking for a hacking tool.

I've seen some neat things done in < retroforth >.  You should be able to make system calls so you can use the libraries that come with dsl.
