There seem to be a fair number of people who find the DSL fonts lacking.

There's a font utilities package that just might solve the problem for us.

Regards to all.

the fonts due suck in DSL, but nice font's are usally take up a bit of space. also i've tried many of fonts in DSL but xvesa does not handle most of them, the fonts can be used by certain apps that have settings for fonts. i have had to move to the 800x600 view to see everything myself(lost my glasses)

Converting to the correct fonts will solve some compatibility problems.  Saving them to a USB key or floppy disk will meet the space problem.

Extra fonts are available in the repository, system & testing.

 I don't know about you guys but I happen to like the fonts that are available in DSL.  I tried Ubuntu and didn't like their default font.

That's nice, wonderful work.

What I'm concerned about is making fonts for other languages.

I've analyzed the charcters and accent marks used and think I could fit the romanization of the most common languages (except for Russian) into one extended font.

That would mean that one hell of a lot of the world could use easily use DSL in the romanized version of their language without fussing with switching configuration.

There's something to be said for making things easy.

Now, if someone would make a MyDSL, I'd do the project!
