Hello.. I'm developing an application under Linux that use wxWidgets, GDAL, xerces-c and GLPK libraries..

I'm just thinking to use DSL as a "bare" linux listem to create a Vmware image with all this software (it doesn't matter if it will go more than 50MB) and distribuite the Vmware image to windows users instead of "porting" the application..

What do you think of this approach?? Did anyone used Damn Small Linux to create a Vmware image for windows users??

You can easily create that image, but if you're looking for a pre-made one, I think the vmx download might be the one you're looking for.

You can download one of mine from vmware.com.

Look for the COD2 Server VM in there challenge entries. :D

Uhm.....

It is overly simple to create a barebones VMWare machine for DSL....

You can create a new VMWare machine for DSL in 1 minute - DSL doesn't need an HD, so you can either make it small or kill it completely.....

Slick stuff though - I used VMWare to make my myDSL remaster.  Works awesome.
