Im thinking some usefull could be, the option to select, something like MyDSL or Firefox, or NAIM, from a list, then click restore, and DSL will reinstall that component too stock. IE. if someone screws up MyDSL like I did, this would be very usefull or for someone who wants to test things out, but dosnt back up, and dosnt want to reinstall mydsl.

Using a traditional debian-style hd-install?
What you're asking for is one of the benefits when using a frugal.

reboot should fix anything you screw up, particularly if you don't backup.

However, I have no idea what kind of screwup you're talking about.  I'm guessing you have a debian-style install if you've messed up mydsl.

I just read his other post, and I think it's related to this: < http://damnsmalllinux.org/cgi-bin....t=17557 >
which, if I'm correct, makes this thread clearer on what he's trying to say.

yeah...i saw that afterward, too.

In any case, I don't think he broke anything...it's probably just that unpredictable ibiblio server.
