How to add parameters to a command for a desktop shortcut properties: more explanation: I created a Thunderbird shortcut command on my desktop, when I try to run it, it starts the ProfileManager and ask me to create a profile; the profile was previouly created and exist.Under shell command, if I try to add the parameter profile name to the command (thunderbirt -P Profname), the program starts normaly, so I wanted to add this same parameter to my shortcut command properties but do not work. Any idea to solve my problem ? Thank you very much. Posted by ^thehatsrule^ on Aug. 07 2007,04:10
edit the icon properties using icontoolor manually in ~/.xtdesktop (text edit the .lnk) Posted by claude on Aug. 07 2007,15:11
Here is the content of my lnk properties:table Icon Type: Program Caption: Email Command: /opt/thunderbird-1.5/thunderbird -P Claude Icon: /opt/thunderbird-1.5/icons/mozicon50.xpm X: 8 Y: 232 Status: anchor end If I click on the shortcut, ProfileManager is starting and ask me to create a new profile: the profile name Claude is already created If I execute the same command from the shell prompt, Thunderbird starts normally...... hm, it always seems to automatically log into my default account regardless with or without -P. Maybe you edited your ~/.thunderbird/profiles.ini (or maybe you can edit that to your liking)?
