Can someone out there bust out a .dsl for MythTV, which is a Personal Video Recorder application?

It would be excellent to have a very light Linux distro that could be used to make your own "TIVO"

Only problem I see is that it takes alot of dependencies that would end up making a "LiveCD" distro waaaaaay to big.

Any takers???

There is already KnoppMyth.  Why don't you check that out?  I think you need to have QT3 for Myth anyway and for the server (repository/backend) you have to install to HDD.  The KnoppMyth CD can be run live for a frontend (viewing) machine.

I recommended that someone try making a .dsl of webvcrplus.  I think it would be smaller and do some of what MythTV and Freevo do.  The main thing is that it would record TV shows.  You almost need to start from a Knoppix CD because of the support of the TV cards.  I don't know  if DSL will recognize TV cards at boot like Knoppix does.
