A couple of suggestions for apps or DSL extensions-

Passepartout a small DTP app < http://www.stacken.kth.se/project/pptout/ >

Skencil a small drawing application (1.08 MB) but needs Python < http://www.skencil.org > although they are working on a GTK+ port of it.

Magic Point < http://www.mew.org/mgp/ > a small presentation app and mmaker < http://www.icir.org/mallman//software/mmaker/ > a pre-processor to make the XML files for Magic Point.

I've been wanting to make an extension for Skencil, but the Python requirement has been holding me back.
Not only is the news of a gtk port welcome for the possibility of an easier extension, but I just like gtk for apps in general.

Sketch, the current stable version at skencil.org, version 0.6.15-1
is now in the testing area of the repository.

Give it a go, and feedback..
