I just noticed that the homepage of DSL is cluttered with screenshoots of old versions of DSL (Ie. .2) and very little of the new .8 series and none of the .8.2 release. Should we clean up the old screenshots and put them on a memory lane page and get some new screenshots up there? I think we should.

Nope, most of them still apply to the current iteration of DSL.

And it shows the growth of our lil distro. ^_^

besides, its a simple, classic design. Getting rid of the pics would ruin the site's feng shui.

But ultimately, the site design is up to John. He's the guy who pays for the bandwidth. ;)

I don't think it's cluttered at all...it's very simple, and organized with screenies from 0.1 to current.  I'd think it was excessive if there were thumbnails of every image, but simple text links don't clutter things up too much.

At most a separate screenshot page might be something to consider rather than just (re)moving old shots.

Now that DSL has gained so much popularity, what with an entire company with its products based around it, I believe a bit more screenshots would be prudent.
We should make a gallery consisting of 3-6 images of the current version, showing the new features, etc.

I don't think we should remove the pictures, infact I don't believe I even suggested that. I suggested that we MOVE the old screenshots to a page dedicated to showing the progression of DSL and that we only have screen shots featuring the more recent releases on the front page. If someone is just scanning quickly, they might click on verion .3 or something and see a chopy display and then go away for good.

yes. I also think it's time to clean up and add a "good old times" page , where to store all old screenshots.
It's true that, in general, the shots do not give a full impression of how good dsl is.
