IMHO you can delete a mozilla firebird and on this place put something else in this place. In DSL lack a compilators GCC ,a make command and many stuff needed to install programs. I wan't to use a DSL in my workstation but i cant becose i havent many programs, (btw. sorry for my english if i do some mistakes ;) )

Do a search on these forums for information on apt-get, the Debian installer program.
In particular those posts by Grim.

also mozilla firebird (or firefox now) isn't actually on the CD, it's a script that downloads and installs it (temporarily for CD, I believe perminant for hdd install.)

The script doesn't install Firebird on the HD install, but once it's installed, it works just fine.  And once you do an HD install, you can simply do a "sudo dpkg-restore" then edit your /etc/apt/sources.list to comment out the line with Stable and uncomment the line that says Testing.  Then go "sudo apt-get update" then "sudo apt-get install gcc g++ make"  That'll give you everything you're wanting.

Yeah, right but, somteimes a package in mirror of apt is broken or user haven't got internet connection and then .. :P  Unix without compilators is like fish withou water [; you may delete some hm... themes 4 fluxbox and put the compilators in. now i must go to woody I'm sorry [; I will back soon when dsl will be goodest

There simply isn't room for the GCC compiler in DSL - the Fluxbox themes are around 100Kb total, and the GCC compiler alone is at the very least 30Mb compressed. However, DSL does have TCC, which is perfectly serviceable in some situations.

You are kidding right?!?!?!?!

GCC is that big!

Holy CRAP, is there a smaller but more functional compiler other than TCC or whatnot that can be put in...

IMO you should not compain, its free, and he dose it because he wants it(or she I dont know who dose it). If you dont like something do it yourself.
