Hello everyone.
From some time I have an idea , remastering the DSL and eliminate the X support. I just whant to make an Multimedia Linux Console based , just like BashBurn .
The only differences is that I whant to make it like this :

1) Play Music
2) Play Movies
3) Burn CD`s
4) Rip DVD`s
5) Check Path
6)  .......

You say what to include in this custom DSL.

I`ll use :
- mplayer - for movie`s playback with console frontend named  tmms
- xmms with ncxmms ( frontend for xmms in terminal ) - for mp3 playback or: - squash
                       - kasmp3play
                       - mpxplay with dosbox
                       - mp3blaster
- rexima - for audio mixer
- Mencoder - for rip job`s
- BashBurn - for CD / DVD burnning

The question is , what should I remove and what not remove ?

I whant that to be the smallest Multimedia Linux and low resources need`s.

If anybody can help me with some ideas and guidelines please feel free to mail me or post it here.

With respect ,

Aygun

DSL has mpg321 and ogg123 for console music, and I think we still have enjoympeg for movies.

But I think that in order to watch movies, you have to have some kind of graphical environment.

You might take a look at < Dyne:Bolic > it's rather small, meant for media creation/playing, and based on DSL.
