You would install DSL to hardrive, and have a certain configuration that it would allow you have certain boot options on boot up.  So you could start your computer, have it automatically boot-up "toram" and you would have a screaming fast computer.  You could also add a function where it will save the state of the computer so when you shutdown, firebird/etc would already be installed and files saved in a home directory would still be there.

I have tried installing dsl while using toram...
It has some few errors about reading the file boot.img and ...forgot.... from /cdrom/KNOPPIX/ (the cd was already unmounted of-course).

Whats the use of mklilo reading those files anyway? It worked fine though (after hd-install while using toram on boot).
