Wouldn't it be nice to add the possibility of changing the screen update-frequency to xsetup.sh or something like that? I personally become sick from the low frequency...

Maybe it is implemented some other way, but I haven't found it. It's hard to change the readonly configfiles on the CD.

I've been playing around with refreshing times and came to the conclusion that if Xvesa is doing anything with refresh times at all, it's not in a documented manner. Supposively you should be able to specify a resolution like 1024x768x16x85 which would set a refresh time of 85 hz. I've started Vesa using that and still got 60 hz. After trying a few other things I saw laying around on the web, I gave up. I agree, however, that it badly needs it, the 60 hz is the ONLY drawback to DSL, in my opinion.

i got a laptop it can run on 100 hz (windows)
how do i change it? :) to 85 hz
in dsl?
