have you ever used centericq...< http://thekonst.net/centericq/ > it would be great if it would be in the distro... instead of naim.. that one supports not that many im... i don't know anything about the size.. but it could be rather large in your eyes... Posted by John on Nov. 28 2003,00:41
Centericq is great, but it is surprisingly quite large.

How much is heavy? it needs 4104kB of disk space... kinda heavy but I don't know if fits, stripping naim and nirc and nicq... any other light jabber client?

I just compiled the latest to see how large it actually is. After being stripped it was 3.4MB. For DSL that is just too big. Centericq is actually the first client I looked at because it is very easy to use and supports many protocols.

What about other jabber clients like JabberX and IMcom?< http://jabberx.jabberstudio.org/ > < http://imcom.floobin.cx > Do you think they can fit in? Posted by John on Dec. 04 2003,20:05
I'll check them out. |
