I found a nice wm docking app that has a status bar,time remaining,% charge.
It's name is "wmapm" and you can get by

#apt-get install wmapm

It has >50kB so i thing it's a good tool for running DSL on laptops (i have 5.2 hd install on my P166 with 32MB ram and 80MB swap)
