It is slow. Please take consideration on increasing the speed in future versions.Thank you! Posted by mikshaw on April 14 2005,23:04
you can change it with "xset m <acceleration> <threshold>"

How do I increase the current speed by x2?
Posted by mikshaw on April 17 2005,15:56
"xset m 2" will double the speed, but i'm not sure if it doubles the current speed, or doubles whatever the default is.In any case, i'd play around with various settings to see what feels right for you. When you find one that feels good, add that xset command to .xinitrc to make it run whenever you startx Posted by dsluser on April 18 2005,00:41
how is that possible when the cd is read-only?

Use the backup / restore function and save your backup somewhere that is not read-only like a USB thumb drive, a floppy disk, or a hard drive.

hi ..I've been using DSL for about 2 weeks now (using usb trackball).. been loving it ! I have a question though since this topic contains "mouse"... the reason why I use my usb trackball is because the Laptop's built-in touchpad doesnt work on DSL ? Are there any parameter to try to get this to work ? My touch-pad also got 2 mouse buttons. In my experience.. when I boot with no usb trackball... just trying to depend on the laptop's built-in touch pad.. the cursor stays on the bottom of the screen and thats about it. Thanks! As usual it depends on your particular hardware. On my Sony Vaio, the built in touchpad with two buttons works just fine. I use the ps2 settings and 2 button mouse. However, I have heard that some users may need to use the xfree86.dsl ( full X windows ) extension to get theirs to work. It would possibly be helpful to post the output of $ grep MOUSE /etc/sysconfig/knoppix |
