While fluxbox may be the most efficient, Ice is definitely better looking.nice job Posted by cbagger01 on May 23 2004,04:56
John,I second the need for a storage space to house user contributed *.dsl/*.tar.gz files. I have a few in mind, but at the moment I have no place to upload them for public use. I just completed a rox.dsl for the Rox Filer, including the myDSL menu item, Desktop Icon creation and custom DSL MIMI type associations for one-click launching of files. Please, send it to me. I can put it here: < http://www.fotoboto.hpg.ig.com.br/pote/henrique/ > ;-) Posted by THEBINARYMAN on May 25 2004,18:13
Dude, that is cool.We are starting to have a rather good repository of software. I am trying to get the lastest version of GAIM and dependants into one nice file. Unless someone had already better luck with other IM's? I mean this distro MUST have at least that. Found some files at Backports.org. But I dunno, maybe because I am such a n00b at this, I seem to have a hard time getting it to "play nice" and actually work!! Hey I am a recovering M$ user...don't laugh...^_^ TBM Posted by henrique on May 26 2004,00:36
Hi Cbagger01 !I've read your message only today ( forgot to login the other days) and sent you a reply Posted by cbagger01 on May 26 2004,05:03
Henrique,I uploaded the rox.dsl file to the ftp server in the correct directory. However, it does not yet show up on the web site even though I push the "Refresh" button on my browser. Maybe it takes some time to update. This rox.dsl package is smaller than my original creation because I followed the dsl tradition and removed some documentation and language translation files. If you want the original full install, I can upload it with a different name like rox_international.dsl or something like that. Thanks again for providing a home for my *.dsl files. It should keep things going until a more permanent DSL user contribution library storage area is created. Regards, CB Posted by John on May 26 2004,06:29
I am working on a way to get these files into the Ibiblio system faster. We will probably have something setup soon.
