Hello all .

How about playing an sound file on fluxbox startup?

Just like KNOPPIX do .

Deed anyone do this on his/her station?

Fluxbox stable doesn't have this sort of startup settings other than .xinitrc.  In this case, the sound would play before Fluxbox loaded, unless you used a sound with a pause at the beginning.  Doing it that way, however, means that the sound would play regardless of whether Fluxbox successfully loaded.

maybe you want to attach it to xserver rc with a delay then would play when x started as a kind of welcome sound?

An example of a kind of "startup sound" would be to use the mpg321 command line audio player to play a short mp3 file whenever X Windows starts up.

For example, you might add:

mpg321 mysoundfile.mp3 &

to your .xinitrc file, BEFORE the fluxbox startup command line.

See this page for more details on the mpg321 command:

Thank`s for advice.

Now , I`m working on installing iDESK on DSL to set the icons transparency.

Did anyone know how to set transparency for all most aplications?

I will try to set alpha for XMMS and Mplayer , the most used aplications.
