Just a thought, another mini linux I use , slax, has a gui based program for identifying all hardware and peripherals. Is such a program possible for dsl or is it there and I have not found it. Great distro.  I know I can find some with lsusb and lspci and such but a one stop store for all aspects would be cool /sound/harddrives/ scsi /usb/pci/chip features and such. Thanks  Marty          I have dsl on hd and boot slax from cd when I need a break .

< LSHW > is a good command line one...it will then generate a txt or html file for later review..you can see a sample output of my firewall box and webserver box here

Oh..I didnt see that before..they have a new gtk+ gui..screenshot! < http://ezix.sourceforge.net/software/gtk-lshw.png >

Perhaps the Gurus could whip up a MyDSL app for it!  Seems simple enuff!
