Could we have DSL in Base Install + Pick Packages/AppZ that you want to use?

Mabye DSL - Distro's in itself, like WebClient, Office Box, Games Station...

Not saying you haven't picked marvoisly... But I personally wouldn't ever use a spread sheet.

I know this adds a bita complexaty to it. 'Burn N Burl' single ISO file's kinda refreshing... But not customizable enouth. Also, I'd wish to use it on small Read/Writeable Devices (USB Watch's, Sticks etc) as well as CDs.
So maybe updates for non-burnt?

Also, while I'm posting... Jabber Protocol, and mabye I recomend PSI most for most pplz, can use gateways to ICQ/M$N/Yahoo/Etc and allow for a much smaller client that handles ALL your Instant Msg'er needs. (www.Jabber.org)

Very tired after LONG day. Sorry about state of English...

I'd like to use DSL (with apt-get re-enabled) as a base install for new-user clients on low-end re-cycled machines (want more adjectives :-)).
It would be good if I had a "very small" DSL distro tailored for low-end machines (serial mouse, 256 colours, 360x240, ISA bus), with the option of installing the "full" DSL if the "hardware" permits.
A big ask I know - but it would be real useful.

Cheers.

sorry about this post. I just got a little vocal earlier, and said a whole load of stuff that had actually already been covered. So ive edited it out to save myself from the humble pie.

Yeah. A basic dsl with APT would be really nice. Could this be like DSL-HD or something?

I would be glad to help if i can. I think im going to go learn about re-mastering.

Also, it would be nice to keep the main dsl from having all those boot options. Leaving it to boot up with no interaction if you want to, but an option to specify different hardware if you press X before 5 seconds.  I have'nt finished downloading 5.1.1 yet, though, so dont quote me

Just downloaded it last night, cool, but was also wondering about a customiseable version, I'm using the 8cm round CDs instead, so I've got 185MB to play with...

What I really want is GIMP, and maybe a full web server with PHP/MySQL, so I can show live versions of database-driven web sites?
WINE would be good so I can bring Flash with me?

As a general ap, something that plays avi/divx/xvid would definitely come in handy.

Another suggestion / query is the fluxbox styles, any way to include your own custom ones?  Half of the ones in the iso are unuseable, some cool ideas but not the kind of colour schemes you can actually USE!

Well done anyway, just had a look at morphix, it's huge.  What I'm ultimately after is a test CD to try out on old laptops, so lightweight, good looking, and doing the main work things I need...
