I'm not a huge fan of GUI. Mutt is very small mail client.
Adding Mutt into future version would be great.
You can save a few more mb by remove Sylphed..

Yes, but don't most users prefer a GUI interface? DSL is designed with the idea of a desktop system in mind AFAIK, and Mutt isn't as user-friendly as Sylpheed.

I like user-friendly apps like dillo,index...don't matter GUI(dillo,sylpheed) or shell(wget,apt-get) or shell-GUI (index,cfdisk).I don't like Links (the text style is awfull) and mutt or pine (the config isn't user-friendly)

When you take into account dependencies mutt is actually larger than sylpheed.

Sylpheed is probably the best email software out there. even if you don't consider its size, you will be amazed by its features.
I use it on Micro§ too.
