Or is this a very dumb question?

Is it already possible to get DSL in a different language? The menu and control panel for example? I know: In the menu there are only programs and scripts with certain names, but, is it possible to translate the first menu seen when clicking the right mouse button?

If translating is a problem, or takes to much time.. Maybe I could do something.. Send me some file to translate or something or tell me how to do it. Yeah, I'm a bit of a noob in Linux, but I'll have to start somewhere......

Perhaps some documentation would be good in another language - you could start with the "Getting Started" document if you wanted.
I can help with the German translation.

How should I send (mail i guess..) it to?

And how? HTML or just plain text? What do you or the person who wants this prefer?

Translation of the Wiki into german has started:

Please be aware that although I'll make a contribution form time to time, this is not my top priority, so I expect you guys (& chicks) to take over!

I suggest
(a) to use the english page-names with a '-de' suffix, just as done in the aMule wiki or in the spanish translation of the very DSL wiki.
(b) keep the german pages as translations from the english ones instead of developing them (this helps tracking the deviations).
© Document the original source and the line ups when uploading the translations.
(d) Create a german home page when you reach a fair ammount of the the wiki translated (maybe 30%?) and ask it to be linked at the top of the home page, next to the spanish one.

And a last warning: Though I speak fluent german it still is a foreing tongue to me, so please, correct also the pages above!

Bitte, sei gewarnt, dass, obwohl Ich mal ab und zu dazu beibringen wird, es ist nicht meine höchste Priorität, also erwarte Ich von euch Leute, dass Ihr damit auseinander setzt und weiter macht!

Ich schlage vor
(a) die Seitennamen auf english mit einem zusätzlichen '-de' Suffix zu benutzen, so wie man auf der aMule wiki oder auf der spanishchen Übersetzung der DSL wiki, selbst macht.
(b) die deutsche Seiten als übersetzungen der englischen Orginals behalten, anstatt sie direkt zu entwickeln (das hilft dabei, die Herausrichtungen (?) nachzufolgen).
© die Originalquelle und Wiederkoordinierungen beim aufladen der Übersetzungen zu dokumentieren.
(d) eine Hauptseite auf Deutsch zu shaffen, als man eine gewisse Menge der Wiki übersetzt kriegt (vielleicht ein 30%?) und dann um eine Verbindung aus der Hauptseite zu bitten; da oben neben der spanishe.

Und eine letzte Warnung: Obwohl Ich ziemlich flüssig Deutsch rede, es ist mir immernoch eine Fremdsprache, also bitte, korrigiert Ihr auch die obere Seiten!
