Hi, currently highjacked my fiances laptop (Dell Inspiron 6000) and tried to install DLS 2.1b onto a 1GB USB Drive.

For this, I downloaded the current ISO from the repositry and burned it to disk. It boots up nicely in LiveCD mode.

However, when I try to install to the USB drive, I can neither find it nor mount it.

Any help?

Cheers
Mike

Similar issue.  I just booted the CD on a Dell Inspiron 600m.  USBview can see the flashdrive, but it does not seem to have been automatically mounted and I do not know how to do so manually. /If/ I can do so manually.

It's a Sony MicroVault 256 for USB2.0

According to the linux usb device website, the Sony Micro Vault series use a special filesystem (presumably for data security) that is not recognized by many OS.

You might have better luck buying a cheap Sandisk or Lexar USB drive on sale.
