A Pentium S 166 MHz 2.4.26 kernel already loaded with DSL and sent to me.
On switch on, Loads to give Dillo. Mouse is locked. Up/Down arrows,Page up/down; Cap Lock key works (not the scroll or Num lock).<Ctrl>q removes Dillo. And can see that pretty set oc icons.
Everything now locked. Ctrl-Alt-Del messes up the screen.  Alt -F and Alt-V earlier were popping the menu down.
Any suggestions??
I've just loaded Fedora on one machine and Mandrakelinux on another, both Pentiums..no bother.

Try

CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE

and type:

xsetup.sh

Enter your mouse and graphics settings, then type:

startx

Or just boot the cd with the

dsl xsetup

boot code.

And make sure that you've specified the proper type of mouse, i.e. USB or PS/2.

I just brought my DamnSmallMachine home for a weekend of silent computing and although the mouse worked at work the one at home didn't. DSL ran fine on my other computer, with the same mouse so it didn't make sense.

Did I mention that it's SILENT? I haven't had a computer this quiet since my Osborne 1.
