If you have the ability to use backup/restore, I'd edit /home/dsl/.bash_profile and use that instead of runlevel 2.  Comment out the "startx" line and you'll have your text mode while still being automatically logged in as dsl instead of root.

Dsl is installed on my harddisk, Debian hd install.
But it always ask the username and password. I have already removed startx.

i just want to user "dsl" autologin when my computer boots and don't ask me always user and password.

did you do a multi-user install?
