DSL version 2.0 and 2.1 have removed the driver modules for the SCSI devices.  You can add them back manually by using the additional_modules file from the download site and then make a custom mkmydsl cd with a /modules directory.

Or you can use DSL 1.5 or maybe even 2.2RC1 (this is based on DSL 1.5's linux kernel so it may have SCSI support back.  I dunno).

DSL v2.2 has legacy scsi and zip drive support

Thanks for the replies, I went ahead and used ver 1.5 and am enjoying the heck out of it.
