Hi I´ve found out that on old laptops with cdrom you cant boot directly from cdrom, and than you must have a boot floppy.. this happend me when i install Ubuntu and on there install cd you have an boot floppy but it wasent a old boot floppy. It was an bios that works like you own bios but it gives you a possebillity to boot from cd. And it work with all boot cd´s, even win all verr. linux all verr. This one i strongly recomend for those of you how has an cdrom but cant boot directly from it, what ever you want to install..

Could you edit your post with a Link? :) Is it freeware?

Here is a link to the home page.  It does not talk about writing to track 0 of a floppy but I believe that is possible.  All of the downloads on this site are auto installers.

Here is a link to a site with a link to a floppy disk image.

I have used it before but could not get it to boot from cdrom on my machine.  But at the time I had a proprietary sony cdrom (conected to a jazz sound card).  I haven't tried it lately.  I would suggest above all else make sure you are writing to a floppy to test it so you don't write your hard disk track 0.
