i just downloaded dsl and i burnt it on a cd and i cant get it to work. i put the first boot device a cd-rom but it wont boot. it just bypasses it and starts windows

How did you burn it? Did you check the MDSUM? What version of DSL did you download?

also dont forget to config. your bios to boot from cd.
