Only 2.1 and 2.1b support sata and you must use the boot sata boot option

boot:  dsl sata

hmmm..
Why was sata support removed from the newer versions of DSL?

seems strange. usually new versions support newer hardware and not the other way round..

Roberts, Would you please explain something about the meaning of Version?
for example: what is the meaning of 2.x and 2.xb and 2.x-embedded and 2.x-syslinux and 2.x-vmx ....?

Thanks to cbagger01, then, what is the difference between 2.2 and 2.2b, b=beta? or b=better? or something else?

2.2b had a minor bug fixed.  I don't remember the details, but it was a bug fix release.

The change is the order in which USB modules are loaded at boot time.
If you are currently having issues booting USB pendrives then try this version.
John and I have tested this and the new order seems to provide both USB2.0 and
when not available USB1.1 on a wide range of computers.
