I bought a Termtek tk-3000 w/geode 200mhz cpu, 128meg mem, 8 meg doc.
It appears that the motherboard has no Bios. If you remove the Disk on a chip it will not even turn on.

Does anyone know how to reset this thing? It is currently locked up with someone elses password, can not get into it.

I bought this for a silent dsl machine off of ebay, I thought I was buying a capio. But for 15.00 it is not worth sending back.

Thanks.

If I am not mistaken I beleive you need to get the disk on chip re programmed with the OS you would like to use.  You should do a search on google or yahoo for disk on chip and see what you find out.

I can't remember where but I think I have seen people advertise programming for a fee.  Should see if you can find another Linux user with a programmer who would reprogram for you.  Something to search on would be linux embeded to see what you can find.

Found the thread for some disk-on-chip programming.

have a look at the first post.  Michel seems to have done some with the capioII

Sorry.  I see you were already there.

Thanks, Brianw I appreciate your help.
I purchased one from Michel. Waiting for it now. $11.00 bucks was a lot better then 30.00 for the programmer. If it does not work with this thing I will find a real capioII.

Anyway, the DOC I made is generic DOS + Dos USB drivers and works on _my_ Capio without any hardware reference. So it should work as a loadlin.exe based bootloader on most any DOC based pc.

Cheers
Michel
