gtk1 theme for ElefanterI've been using a tweaked 'ColorStep' theme in Suse for the longest time, and just recently realized how good it looks with the Elefanter Fluxbox style in DSL. Customizes the look of Gtk1 apps such as Emelfm and Firefox. I couldn't find this particular modification online, so I'll just post the contents here. Install anywhere, and point /home/dsl/.gtkrc to it like so:

Yes, thats a great match for Elephanter.I only just got around to trying it, it also looks good with a Fluxbox theme called " beOSbox ", your basic blue bg with yellow toolbar, docks, etc. Good one! Posted by dare2dreamer on Aug. 22 2005,19:42
Since DSL is working towards having its own theme, wouldn't it be a good idea to include this, or osme modified version of it, in the default distribution.I'm not sure if I'm a huge fan of Elephanter or not, but as long as that's what the DSL team has settled on it makes sense to make as much of the default desktop match as possible. Simple Cursor ChangeWhile i haven't succeeded in using any of the more complex xfree cursors in DSL's Xvesa server (yet), there is a way to make a quick change to the cursor displayed on the root window using the default cursor file. Most of them are not very usable as a generic cursor, but i sometimes like to use a heart or circle once in a while. It's also useful if you run a minimal window manager that doesn't give you anything but the big ol' X You can set the root cursor with this command:
where <name> is a name from the list below. Fluxbox and JWM automatically set the root cursor, so you will need to run the command manually after the windowmanager loads.
