Lately, I have been on a kick with DSL sound and having much fun!
New extensions, well, rebuilt and some heavily re-worked extensions I have been working on are now posted in the UNC repository:

1. sox.unc
2. festival.unc
3. skype-1.2.0.18.unc
4. alsa.unc

Be sure to read the .info files. Very important! Plus you get a hint at what's comming in dsl-v3.2RC3.

I have compiled Wine 0.9.28, this time with OpenGL support.  See notes below -

Notes for Wine-0.9.28_with_opengl

Two errors may be noticed when using this extension-

wine: glibc >= 2.3 without NPTL or TLS is not a supported combination.
It will most likely crash. Please upgrade to a glibc with NPTL support.

and

Various errors related to wined3d.dll, opengl32.dll

The first error started in the later versions of wine, but does not seem to affect
performance of the applications being ran.  The second errors concerning the
DLL files is only present when Linux OpenGL modules are not loaded.  Most
Windows applications can still be ran, except those that use DirectX, etc.

The .dsl and .unc version can be found here -

< Wine-0.9.28.dsl >
< Wine-0.9.28.unc >

Sorry about the ads on the site, it's the first free one I found. - Select "Download for free with FileFactory Basic" on the first page then "Click here to begin your download" on the second page.

A note about sox...
since your new package is unc, I think the part in the info file about running the wrapper scripts in place of the actual commands might confuse some people.

Oops, sri, I meant to edit that out. Will do.

[EDIT]
OK done.

rcfirewall.unc now posted in the unc area.

I have repckagesd ke4nt's extension into a unc and added in the required modules to work stand-alone.

I am planning some automation with this extension in dsl v3.3

It looks fine from here

It's a known Firefox issue (known by us, anyway). If the filename contains ".tar.gz" Firefox will not display its contents.

You can either right-click and save the file to view locally, or view it with a different browser.

Not sure if this is the place to report this but...

I just ran dsl2unc on amsn-tcltk-0.95-ver5.dsl and the unc works fine - I presume it is OK to mix tcltk-8.4.uci with unc's

Yes.  As long as you have enough free cloop devices you should be able to use both uci and unc packages without trouble.

I have just added a modules and drivers section of the repository website. This section is for user contributed modules and extra drivers that would enhance your DSL experience.

In this new section we now have

8211.o
adm8211.o
synaptics.o

855wrap
855patch

Note the modules end with .o
Reading the info file is a must.

None of these will load with mydsl-load. Read the info file.
