Hi Roberts,
I refer to this webpage again:
For '7zr.tar.gz', the 'User' field shows "LGPL;".
Could this be because ";" is an illegal character?
Code Sample
Copying-policy: LGPL; some parts under AES License

Thanks very much.

Fixed. Sometimes when I am expecting a line, I get a paragraph. I then have to join the lines into a single one.

Thanks to J.S. for updated mplayer-nogui.dsl and wine-0.9.42.uci

Hello Roberts:
Could you please take down 'mplayer.uci', if that's alright?
('mplayer-nogui.dsl' is meant to replace it.)
Thanks!

Posted by roberts on Oct. 08 2007,14:54
OK. Done.

I finally got around to testing lucky13's screen.uci (from a couple months ago). It works fine, but has the same issue as my personal build when used in console on a vanilla frugal/livecd. Since tty1 is already owned by root if you boot into runlevel 5, screen will fail. You should be able to avoid this by booting into runlevel 3, or run the following commands in runlevel 5:
Code Sample
sudo chown root.staff /dev/tty1
sudo chmod 660 /dev/tty1

or
Code Sample
sudo chown dsl.staff /dev/tty1

I've never quite decided which is a better option, but it seems they both have approximately the same level of security.

This is not an issue when running screen in an x terminal

Preparing to submit 'xfonts-JP.tar.gz'. This replaces 'mona-font.uci' and is much easier to use.

Hi all:
Regarding this warning message in Wine:
Code Sample
"wine: glibc >= 2.3 without NPTL or TLS is not a supported combination.\n" "It will most likely crash. Please upgrade to a glibc with NPTL support.\n"
I have removed it from the latest versions of 'wine-0.9.4x.uci' and 'wine-0.9.42.uci'; these will be submitted shortly.

I always like to see that error message, given that my app has never crashed.  Why are you removing it?

Posted by stupid_idiot on Nov. 03 2007,10:38
It is shown multiple times when running any Windows program. That's why I personally find it very annoying. Also, it obscures the really useful error messages. What I am thinking is, 'if it runs, fine; if it doesn't, so be it.' There is no need to see the same warning again and again.
