I am not familiar with the Monkey Web Server and would like to know if it can serve JavaServerPages or if I need a DSL build with Tomcat.

Apache is available for DSL and can do most any type of HTTP based stuff.
I have not used Monkey, but I imagine it can't have the same power as Apache.

pmix,
What are you wanting to do?  I messed with Monkey Web Server, but it is pretty much a play toy, not a real good web server.  It is ok for HTML only...

Like doobit said, you should use Apache.  If you are wanting to do more than just HTML and want to get into database web apps, and PHP or PERL...   Try out XAMPP.  I have XAMPP running on my DSL machine and it is wonderful.

Check out their page.  < XAMPP >

Would monkey run a database app locally. I don't intend to have a webserver for the internet. I just want to build and run a POS database. I've been thinking of running DSL to do this.
