I have dsl 3.2 and it won't read any file extensions such as .deb and .dsl.

Dear Four Question Marks,

I assume you are referring to the fact that clicking on certain (most) file types in a file manager doesn't do anything.
You have to tell your file manager that you want something to happen when you click on a certain file. This is known as file association because you are associating an action with a particular type of file. The Emelfm file manager has a few associations already set, such as tar files, but most will need to be set by you. I can't say exactly how, though, since I don't use Emelfm. There might be someone on these forums who has already created a good Emelfm filetypes configuration that you can use. I have a semi-complete one for midnight commander, but I'm guessing you probably don't use that file manager.
