Ooh. I want to play classic adventure games, but some hideous powers are preventing me! I need help!

I mean I just installed MyDSL extension of ScummVM (scummvm-0.8.0.dsl), and when I try to run it, this appears in the terminal:

Bus error

That's a very informative error message!

I'm running DSL 3.01 Live CD. My machine is Compaq Armada M300 (that's a laptop) with a Pentium 2 (mobile?) processor running something over 300 Mhz.

Ok. I tested the extension on another machine with the same unfortunate results.

This time I loaded the scummvm-0.8.0.dsl with mydsl-load command. Here is the output:

$ mydsl-load scummvm-0.8.0.dsl
tar: bad block type 3

tar: Unable to read all data
tar: Unable to read all data

$ scummvm
Bus error

I checked the md5sums and they match.
I also tried to install the SDL-library, but that doesn't help either.

Can someone confirm this, please? That is: run DSL 3.0.1 LiveCD, and install the ScummVM extension with mydsl-load command (and perhaps try with the SDL-library too).

Change mirror using mirror selector that is under apps - tools and then downoald again the extension using mydsl icon. The file in belgium is broken.
I also got bus error.

I tried all the mirrors and diffed the file: it is same on every site.

I did not try this, since I suppose it does the same thing I did manually.

I guess the ScummVM package is broken then, and that causes the 'bus error'.
The extension has probably always been broken, so why was it even released in the first place?

Can someone fix it or give me instructions how to fix it, please?
