so i used mydsl and downloaded gaim but when i click the icon on my desktop it never opens, and same if i click it in the my dsl thing. It just dosent open.

The info file states that you must load and install the gtk2 library mydsl. It is also a simple matter to grab from the repository. Once gtk2-0705.dsl is loaded you must start it from the menu.
