When I download or try to load GTK2-0705.dsl It reaches the end of the download and then my CDROM drive seems to go into a read mode loop and the mouse locks up. It appears the download is successful because it's there on my hard drive, but the same thing happens when I try to load from that file on the harddrive. This is on my Toshiba 480CDT laptop with 61MB ram. I haven't tried it on the desktop yet. Posted by SaidinUnleashed on Oct. 10 2005,17:56
You are running out of ram.The gtk2 extension is very large. Add some swapspace, or do not use gtk2 apps. -J.P. |
