I need to adjust the way fonts look in dsl when using fluxbox and xorg72.

I guess the difference in the font packages between the base dsl, xfree86 and xorg72 causes the fonts on the desktop, emelFM, etc to look strange when using xorg72.

Is there a place to adjust the overall fonts setting (eg helvetica 12 or whatever the dsl default is) or do I need to change settings in each application?

Afaik applications try to find the closest font, usually from fontpath (i.e. xorg.conf/xset q)

I remember when loading xorg, the fonts on the desktop looked a bit different, but it wasn't much of a difference, so I don't remember exactly...

Do you mean strange as in a bad way?  Got a screenshot for comparison?  Does this only happen with the newer xorg externsion?

Maybe Xorg's default font path is different, so it doesn't find all the fonts?
