Hi!

Just tried it out and it seems to work as a charm. I'll get back if I find something when I have had more time to try it out. Good work!

Have fun,
meo

Hi,
Thanks for this good distro. This version is working fine for me. I'm having just one small issue: setTheme.lua is not working, is it for the recent lua updates?

Hi roberts,

With the release of dsl_core alpha  will 4.4.2  be considered the final version?.

Have fun with dsl_core.

No DSL v4.x is still going on. Likely another small sub-release 4.4.3. I am in the planning stage of DSL v4.5. As long as there is interest in a kernel 2.4 gtk1 system, I will keep it going.

dslcore is in its infancy. Much to do and to be done, both in core and its extensions.

Never a shortage of work to be done!

Suggestion: edit out extraneous entries for hfs, minix, and xfs in /etc/filesystems since the modules for them have been removed from the base. No need to check for them. And how about removing reiserfs and ntfs from it as well and adding reiserfs and ntfs bootcodes instead of leaving them in as defaults so that they load regardless of what users want? I don't have a either a reiserfs or ntfs partition but both modules loaded at boot before I put an end to it.

Good idea. Always disliked having errors in the boot. Removing three would be great.

(But, has the hfs module been compiled somewhere? It would be useful to me :P)

You should be able to get that (hfs, hfsplus) out of one of the earlier 2.4.31 versions from around mid-Nov or before or even 2.1b -- try 4.1 if you have that. Robert removed a lot of fs modules in 4.2. You'll still need to get hfsprogs for it to be of much use.
