This is just amazing to me.  I never thought that such a narrowly focussed discussion board about a topic which isn't even a year old would have over one thousand registered discussion board members.

We've all got old kit :)

Plus you forget that a mini distro is perfect for introducing newcomers to the delights of linux.
I doesn't matter how many mistakes you make, a quick reboot and you can start again.
(The number of times I had to reinstall slackware when I made a major xxxxx at the console......:))

If only linux could solve the problem of winmodems (which are packaged in 95% of new pc's)
we'd be converting in droves.:)

Anyway many congratulations to you and your team.

I think this is really great.  But also, it turns out that the forums are really important to DSL progressing, this project has really matured because of the input of this forum and those who have stepped up to help out.  It is like an ever growing feedback loop.

(In regards to the above post)

Word.

DSL has gone through a frighteningly huge (and good) amount of change in the last year or so. Most of the ideas which caused this change were at least partially spawned in the forums, most noticably, the contributions of roberts.

it all helps make DSL a better TinyOS™. ^_^

"Most users ever online was 31 on Aug. 31 2004,11:31"

errr....what happened to 42?

Posted by John on Sep. 01 2004,02:42
Some data was lost when I upgraded the forum software last night.  The user registration went down too, but I believe the lower number is because the duplicate accounts were removed.
Posted by SaidinUnleashed on Sep. 01 2004,03:58
ahh, i thought that it was being wonky last night. It lost my posts like 3 times.

but you know, we should call this phenomenon "an recalculation of actual forum participants" or better yet, "a forum recount"

We just crossed that all-important milestone:
One eighty-fourth of a MILLION POSTS!!

Congratulations to all.

A little tongue and cheek eh?

We should see an upswing in forum users now that it looks like the registration is working properly again.
