I am having some issues with installing DSL to my harddrive, which is located at /dev/hda. Everything seems to install just fine, but when it comes to do "mkliloboot" I think an error occurs. This is what I get:----------------------------------------------= 1 2 you want to run mkliloboot now? (y/...): y 3 /dev/root on / type ext2 (rw) 4 /dev/cdrom on /cdrom type iso9660 (ro) 5 /dev/cloop on /KNOPPIX type iso9660 (ro) 6 /ramdisk on /ramdisk type tmpfs (rw,size=819032k) 7 usb on /proc/bus/usb type usbdevfs (rw,devmode=0666) 8 /dev/hda1 on /mnt/hd type ext2 (rw) 9 Setting up boot loader (LILO) into the master boot record.. 10 part: /dev/sda1, typ: 11 11 Warning: '/proc/partitions' does not exist, disk scan bypassed 12 Added Linux * 13 Skipping /vmlinuz.old 14 Device 0x0800: Inconsistent partition table, 1st entry 15 CHS address in PT: 0:1:1 --> LBA (56) 16 LBA address in PT: 32 --> CHS (0:0:33) 17 Fatal: Either FIX-TABLE or IGNORE-TABLE must be specified 18 If not sure, first try IGNORE-TABLE (-P ignore) 19 }The lilo boot installation process is finished. 20 You must reboot to continue the final stage of the hard drive install. 21 Reboot now? (y/...): y 22 ---------------------------------------= And then I reboot and it doesn't detect and OS. I remember a long time ago when I tried to install DSL I had to change something in lilo.conf, but I can't remember what or how. ANy help would be greatly appreciated. - Deeek Posted by Deeek on Aug. 25 2004,05:43
Well, I noticed that it was saying something about my thumbdrive, so I took it out and installed DSL and it works!!!!!! Weird situation, maybe the developers want to take a look at this. All I have to say is WOOOOHHOOOO!!!
