I just downloaded the ISO file for DSL tonight.   I tried booting from the CD on my wife's machine and it worked fine.   But when I tried it on two of my older machines (a couple of P 166's) it wouldn't boot.

Both of them were set to boot from the CDROM but in both cases I received an error saying "Operating system not found".

I can't make any sense of it.   I tried different CDROM's and I double chedked the BIOS in each machine.   Any ideas?

Thanks, Dave

On some older machines, the syslinux version of DSL may be required.

I'll try that.

Cheers  :)

Oh ya baby..that's the ticket!!!   I'm off to the races  :D  .   Thanks man.   Now I can put another PC or two to use around here.   That makes two running XP Pro, one with SuSE Linux Pro, one SmoothWall, one Win98 machine and at least one DSL box.

Right on!!   The wife's gonna hate this.
