Can't boot from CDForum: HD Install Topic: Can't boot from CD started by: daveydoom Posted by daveydoom on Dec. 15 2005,03:40
I just downloaded the ISO file for DSL tonight. I tried booting from the CD on my wife's machine and it worked fine. But when I tried it on two of my older machines (a couple of P 166's) it wouldn't boot. Both of them were set to boot from the CDROM but in both cases I received an error saying "Operating system not found". I can't make any sense of it. I tried different CDROM's and I double chedked the BIOS in each machine. Any ideas? Thanks, Dave Posted by roberts on Dec. 15 2005,03:52
On some older machines, the syslinux version of DSL may be required.
