hi everyone
i have been trying to get dsl installed to my hd
it installs ok but the problem is that grub won't work off of hdb and i can't put it on hda because there is no hda and moving them around is not a option

the computer is a dual booting system with xp (which im using now)

so my question is
is there anyway to run grub off of hdb with no hda and can i just boot off a floopy to get to my installed DSL

thanks

It is possible to boot from floppy.

For a frugal install, create a boot floppy disk and boot with:

dsl frugal

For a full hd install, make sure that lilo or grub is installed to the linux partition (install to the MBR not needed) and then create a boot floppy with the SMART BOOT MANAGER program and use it to boot up DSL.

If you are using "grub", then add the word

frugal

to your append statement and rerun grub
