hi ..

following your link which is
2.d - Floppy Only Install with Netcard (Poormans Install)
it ask us to download TOMSRTBT and I've followed exactly the procedure...

Quote

4) GNU/Linux installation
 a) extract the .tar.gz archive
 b) Be root
 c) Be in the tomsrtbt-<version> directory
 d) Have a blank floppy with no bad sectors
 e) Do './install.s'
The script assumes you have ELF and that your 3.5" 1.44M floppy is on fd0.

* I've exited out of the desktop to the command prompt and entered "SUDO SU" to enable ROOT

* Then I mounted fd0 via "mount/dev/fd0"

* then when I try to do the command "./install.s", it says
"bash: ./install.s: No such file or directory"

any idea what I should do ??

so anyways... i boot back to the desktop environment, opened up emelfm and went to the directory where the program was extracted to.  I've "ight-click" on install.s and selected the pull down menu Execute in xterm.. then it shows..

don't forget to READ teh FAQ

update:  (Pentium 75mhz + fd drive + 24MB ram + 1GB hd + external parallel port cdrom drive)

I've managed to install MSDOS 6.22 on my laptop, then, the the LPT parallel port external cdrom driver. Rebooted and I was able to change directory to the external cdrom drive (drive D).

Then copied the D:\KNOPPIX directory to C:\KNOPPIX.

Inserted the bootfloppy and actually got far .. as far as ..

Try typing:

xsetup.sh

and try some different graphics settings.

Then type

startx

to try them out.

Also, you can try to boot with

fb800x600

command or maybe:

dsl vga=769 xsetup

and then choose xfbdev server

Other graphics modes are listed in the F3 menu
