Hello, i'm pretty new to the whole linux scene. I was given a very old PC and i installed DSL 2.0 to give it a fresh start. I did the HDD install and selected to boot with lilo. after the install and reboot, and after the BIOS memory test ends and all that jazz, and it's time for the OS to boot a bunch of 40s fill the bottom of the screen and it hangs there....

um....help...please...

if anything is unclear...ask me to clarify...

thanks in advance.

This is just a shot in the dark because i do not know what 40 means, but i do kinda know what 99 means. It means the MBR is toast. The following example help me to learn what to do and what to search for. I hope some else here can point you in a better direction.

Me thinks grub is available in the DSL repository.
