Ok,here's the problem:

I've made a 200MB partition on my hd.I want to install dsl to it and i'm running dsl via loadlin on a fat32 partition.

I am undecided on weather or not i should do a frugal or standard hd install.

I tried installing dsl once before with a standard install and it failed to find the file 'boot.img' in /cdrom/knoppix

So do i place the boot.img onto c:/knoppix?And will it work?

No, I think the boot goes here:

C:\boot

In other words, make an exact copy of the livecd over to your C:\ drive, using the exact directory structure.  But use all UPPERCASE letters.
