I've searched this forum and many other linux forums and i can't seem to find the info i need. Found tons of how to's to install linux alongside windows for a dual boot system. Which is what i want to do. But and this is a big but no one will explain to me how the flock to partition my hard drive. The how to guide on this site assumes i know what fdisk and cfdisk are and how to use them. That would be awesome but i don't could someone clue me so i can get past being frustrated at my computer and my own lack of knowledge.

I\ve been using dsl for some time and I was wondering that Is it possible to install dsl into USBstick. And I don't mean boot stick which only boots and settings are normal as in liveCD. So I was thinking about to buy a 1gb USB stick and install DSL into that so I can use it at school or somewhere else and save my pics and mp3 in that.

sorry about that my question is weird and possible already asked in this forum but i'm not good at finding old topics >D

Zibrah3ed,

Apologies, I missed the part in your original post where you said you wanted to dual boot with Windows.  Reading through these two links should get you started:

< Partitioning >
< Dual Boot >

Cheers!
