Well here's a problem I can't seem to figure out. I have a HD install of DSL 2.1. I downloaded Openoffice 2.0 uci onto a cdrom and then copied the .uci file to my /tmp directory. I ran it by highlighting it and pressing "mydsl" in elefm. Everything was fine but now I keep getting this message on shutdown "Please mount media containing optional directory" over and over again. I eventually lets me shutdown but only after hitting enter repetedly for about 5 minutes! What happened here!!  ???

How do you shutdown?

I shutdown by right-click, shutdown. Then this message comes up
in the console "/opt/openoffice-2.0.uci: No such file or directory Please mount media containing optional dir and try again."
Then I press enter and the same message comes up for several minutes before finally dsl continues with shutdown as normal. It's like it's looking for the /opt directory which is not there and never was.

copy the uci file to /opt next time :p
use mkdir /opt
to make the dir.. then emlfm or smth to copy.
oh wait.. maybe you wont be able to create /opt cause / is mounted ro.
If you find a way to create it, pm me too :D

I had the same problem. 2 things sem to have fixed it for me.

1. Moved the .uci files to a directory on a different partition...i.e. hda4
2. Unmount the application using the uci tool before shutting down.

Hope this helps........by the by, if you can figure out how to have .uci's auto mounted at boot let me know....
