I got an Alpha server 1000A 5/500 from a frend.
Is it possible to run DSL on this monster.

I don't think so - from a bit of googling it has an alpha 21164 processor which I believe isn't i386 compatible.

Darn, that's a shame.
This monster holds up to 7 harddisks. and has 1gig memory.
Could be one hell of a server.
It now runs on a Linux witch is unknown to me.
It runs good but I don't know how to use it.
Feels pritty stupid.
Should run Windows NT also they say.
Maybe I will give that a try.

If you want to try another Linux distro go to < http://distrowatch.com/search.php > and select Alpha in the Architecture field.
